Get out on to the trails…

Discover new routes, new experiences and perhaps even a new way to run. Adharanand and Joe team up to bring you a stripped-down version of our original Dartmoor Weekend Retreat. This is a one-day run with a difference across beautiful Dartmoor. The full day will cover around 12 miles of running at a relaxed pace, and with lots of practical movement sessions along the way.

Adharanand has been working with Joe for about 12 years and in that time he’s run further and faster than ever. Joe is an incredible font of knowledge when it comes to movement, and his Finding Form programme incorporates everything from Anatomy in Motion to Parkour to his own unique insights help you find the best way to move quickly and efficiently across any terrain.

  • A day-long run across Dartmoor at a relaxed pace

  • Movement sessions with Joe Kelly including exercises and techniques you can take home to help improve your running and to help prevent injuries

  • Sessions to help improve your downhill and uphill running techniques

  • Advice and stories from Adharanand on his experiences in Kenya, Japan and in the world of ultra running, plus plenty of opportunities to ask questions

Adharanand Finn

Adharanand Finn is the author of three critically acclaimed books, Running with the Kenyans, The Way of the Runner and The Rise of the Ultra Runners. This is a chance for you to spend the day with him and grill him on all he has learnt during his research, which has taken him from Kenya to Japan and into the darkest pain caves of the ultra running world!

Joe Kelly

Adharanand will be joined on all the runs by performance and fitness maestro Joe Kelly who features in Adharanand’s books. Joe uses playful games, as well as techniques such as Anatomy in Motion, to help you run more fluidly and naturally - and with less chance of injury. He is also a occasional ultra runner and an expert in downhill trail running.

prices:

The price for the day is £85 per person

Difficulty:

Although the run will be about 12 miles the pace will be easy and we will have plenty of rests. As a minimum you should be able to run 5km (a parkrun) without stopping.

KIT LIST:

You will need trail shoes and warm running kit in case it gets cold - including a windproof jacket. Also a running backpack, snacks, water and a packed lunch.
